Our lives flow in cycles, expanding and contracting, in and out. Each year contains a beautiful energetic flow of awakening, growing, harvesting, and dormancy. Smaller energetic cycles happen many times within each year, often following the waxing and waning of the moon. Each year cycle is followed by another round of reawakening, re-growth, new harvests and much needed rest. On and on it goes in continuous waves.
We can combine numerology and tarot to tune into the helpful energy of a larger 9-year energetic life cycle. Each year of this 9-year cycle is represented by a tarot card, numbers I-IX. Each year’s card functions as a theme or flavor for that year. This 9-year cycle is universally applicable to all human experience, but operates within the context of our individuality so that we can grow and develop on a personal level. Over the course of a 9-year cycle a larger process of growth occurs, after which we each have the opportunity to expand into a higher level of self and consciousness.
To calculate which tarot card is influencing your current year, simply add your birth day and month to the current year and then reduce the number down to a single digit. Here is how I added it up for if you had a birthday on June 5th this year:
6+5+2+0+2+2= 17 then 1+7=8
