New Moon in Leo Tarot Reading for August 2nd, 2016
Hello during the New Moon in Leo! This New Moon comes with the radiant and joy-filled time of summer and abundance in my neck of the woods. With the Sun and the Moon in Leo, it's really time for us to shine forth. It's time to let your love light shine and project your self-confidence onto the world. People tend to want to express themselves and show off their fabulous selves when Leo is prominent in the sky. I've been feeling a lot of heavy energy though, and I am not the only one judging by conversations with friends and many other tarot readers in my online community. So how can we embrace joy when we are feeling low or defeated? How can we increase the energy of our confidence when we are uncertain? I'm using my new Zombie Tarot deck to ask the Universe for some heartfelt guidance at this time. I know zombies aren't everyone's cup of tea but I'm using the Leo New Moon as an excuse to show off something new I own that really resonates with my wacky personality. Here's what the tarot has in store for us this moon cycle:
How can I step more fully into my radiance and embrace joy?- Nine of Cups The Nine of Cups is the card of wish fulfillment, of blessings, and of dreams come true. Can you embrace your everyday human blessing that is fulfillment and joy? Will you allow yourself to be happy? Do you know the difference between happiness and joy? I saw it explained by Danielle Laporte as happiness being a fleeting delight, while joy is an ever-present and eternal part of your soul. The Nine of Cups is about acknowledging and accepting the fact that you can experience and embody joy every single day, even when you are unhappy. It is the nature of human beings that we can know everything will be okay. It's hard to admit that we can be radiant and joyful in the present, even with all the baggage of the past and all the potential of the future hovering around us. The Chariot rx asks us to get into that present time next.
What will help me increase my self-confidence so I can shine?- The Chariot rx The Chariot is a card of movement and action, but with it here in reversed we get the message to stop striving towards some future goal, and appreciate where we are right now. Take a break from the constant forward push and just be still. You do not have to wait to achieve some future goal, to turn into the person you want to be someday, before you can be confident. You do not live in the future. You live in the present. The only time to be confident is right now. You want to make progress, develop, grow, be better, be smarter, be more. The Chariot rx says that you are enough right now. You are right where you are supposed to be. You are doing your best. You are being your best present self. If you really aren't, you can do something about it right now to change yourself. Who cares where you end up as long as you are true to yourself in the now and in every present moment. Each of those moments of present adds up to a lifetime no matter what you do.
How can I energize and ignite my creations and manifestations?- The Tower rx The Tower promises sudden change, epiphanies and revelations, but with this card drawn in reverse, your wait for a stroke of enlightenment may be long and unfruitful. Sometimes change is slow, even agonizingly slow. In our agony we fail to realize that we are making progress. We are creating and manifesting out dreams. It's just so incremental as to slip under the radar and make us feel like we are one failed project after another since those seem to be big and stick out in our memories. But what about all the small victories? The things that didn't seem like much at the time but have amounted to a whole lot over time. You are nowhere near where you started out on this journey. You are doing it, one step at time, one check off the old To Do list, piece by piece. You need to do a little dance or celebration for those accomplishments and then not throw in the towel because it's taking way longer than you hoped to get to your goal. You can do it, keep building!
