Aries New Moon Tarot Reading, March 27th, 2017

The New Moon in Aries brings with it a sense of renewal and beginning. Spring is in the air! This is astrologically the first New Moon of the year and therefore carries a drive for action and change, fresh starts and growth. There is movement, dance, play, and creativity associated with Aries and the New Moon will crank up the emotional satisfaction achieved from DOING. This is a wonderful time to get things done, to make an action plan and then start ticking things off immediately. You might even put some things on your to do list that you've already done just so you can start crossing things off the list right away! We're working with Fire energy here so just a quick reminder that too much doing can cause burnout. Direct your resources wisely so that you're focusing on what you actually want/need to get done instead of doing simply everything you are capable of doing. You're capable of a lot right now, but even so there are limitations. When you're feeling drained spend a little quiet time just contemplating fire. Build a beautiful bonfire to stare into if you can, but a simple candle will also do the trick. Breathe in creativity and motivation and then go getter dun.

Here's some advice from the tarot on narrowing your focus, balancing out chaos, and having fun with the Aries New Moon:

What area(s) of your life requires immediate attention and action? VII of Pentacles The Aries New Moon wants to bring fresh energy and point out unrealized potential in a goal or project that you have already started. In other words, this isn't the time to develop a totally new focus or goal, but rather a time to break free of reflection and evaluation mode on a current project. You've made progress and achieved a certain level of success or completion, but right now you are a bit stalled. You're looking over and contemplating and reviewing what has already happened. That's all well and good, nice to know where you stand and how far you've come, but you've gotta break out of that now and keep going forward with your plan. Figure out where you have momentarily stagnated on a major goal and resolve to kick yourself back into action mode to take the goal all the way to completion.

Here are some ideas of goals you might have set and possible next steps:  If you are in school or studying, now is the time to start defining your thesis or final project. If you're building a career, now is the time to look for that step up the career ladder. If you're trying to grow your investments, now is the time to make a 5 year plan for your financial health. If you're in a committed relationship, now is the time to ask yourself if you see a future with this partner. If you're on a diet and fitness regime, now is the time to break out of a success plateau and reach for a new level of health. If you're looking for love, you may have now developed the type of self love that will attract a partner. If you're on a spiritual journey, it's time to start upleveling closer to enlightenment. Wherever you feel like you've achieved a certain level of success, it's time to ratchet it up to the next level.

Where or how are you creating chaos in life? II of Swords reversed The thing that stops many of us on our quest for that next level or success is refusal or failure to make tough decisions. They decisions often involve us stepping out of our comfort zones, confronting uncomfortable or unimaginable situations, and going forward against fear. Our brains think up all kinds of things for us to be afraid of and our hearts quail at the thought of all that pain that will be caused by our deepest fears. Chaos can enter the situation in the form of information overload, overactive imagination, too many choices, multiple conflicting points of view, and nightmares blown out of proportion. The II of Swords reversed advises us that chaos enters our lives when we have tough decisions to make, but it can also be resolved and dissipate when we make a choice and commit to it. When we give a big middle finger to fear and do what we want in our hearts and minds, we effectively cut chaos in two, cripple it, stop it from ruling our lives. Now, more than ever, you need to make the choice to act and reach for your goals no matter how difficult or frightening it might seem.

How can you have more fun!?  IV of Wands There is super charged potential for fun times this coming month. The IV of Wands is the ultimate card of celebration and hopefully we will all be celebrating because we have taken our goals to the next level and manifested our dreams into reality. The Wands represent Fire energy, just like this Aries New Moon, so we are all set to feel full of light. What lights you up? What fills you with creative vibes? What milestones do you want to reach? Doing or working towards what lights you up inside is a surefire way to have a good time.

The IV of Wands also advises that we will have fun when we spend time with community, family, and friends. Look at the calendar to see what special events are coming up in the next four weeks and make a point of joining in those celebrations. This is a great time to celebrate birthdays, engagements, marriages, births, graduation ceremonies, spring, Easter, etc. Any reason that you and your people have a reason to get together and celebrate is the perfect way to fill yourself up with happiness and light. Say yes to social invitations that honor milestones and accomplishments. When you participate in buoying up and acknowledging the people you love, you lift up everyone on this planet.
